Night hunting for fireflies

As night falls, green creatures populate the forest. Fireflies are a great asset to the ecosystem, serving as natural pest regulators (their predatory larvae feed on snails and slugs), and are also an important indicator of environmental health.

The larvae of many firefly species feed on small garden pests, such as soil nematodes, slugs, and snails, helping to save crops. Therefore, gardeners will be happy to buy the fireflies you catch. You can sell them near your home.

To start hunting, simply wait until nightfall and head out into the forest. The same basket you use for mushroom and berry picking is all you need. Good luck!

Inventory changes

The inventory has been slightly expanded.

Now you don't have to return home or to your island home to collect the fish or mushrooms you've caught. You can get cooking resources right on the spot, allowing you to cook food right at camp or elsewhere (provided you have a cookware and/or stove).

The inventory has also been expanded with a small 5-piece bag. You can carry items purchased at the store or firewood without using the vehicle's cargo space or carrying them by hand.

The impact of region progress on population and prices

A tracking system has been introduced for completing tasks to assist local residents, which leads to an increase in their number, which in turn leads to increased demand for goods. Accordingly, the cost coefficient for purchasing resources (fish, mushrooms, wheat) may increase. While these tasks are not yet available for the entire region, completing existing ones can increase the current coefficient by at least one degree.

Portable gas stove

For future forest trips and outdoor dining, a gas stove has been added. It can be refilled at any gas station.

Accumulated damage to vehicles from collisions

To prevent absurd situations where you can endlessly crash into any obstacle without consequences, we've introduced collision tracking above a certain threshold. Once the vehicle's condition drops below 10%, a cooldown timer will be activated, blocking further use of the vehicle for one minute. The condition will then automatically reset to its original level.

Berry picking

Berry picking was introduced in a minor update, but was not announced. You can pick berries and also sell them at the local market.

Sleep screen added

The sleep screen now displays a camera with a general plan of the house.

Added options when a character dies

Now, after death, there is a choice: start the game over (as it was before the update) or respawn with a penalty (the screen will pulse red for 10 minutes and walking and running speeds will be reduced).
