Pass the Bomb : Runner Is Out Now! (Includes Tips)

I’m happy to share that Pass the Bomb : Runner has now been released on Steam.

This game is quite difficult than it may first appear.

Even as the developer, I was only able to clear it after dying around 200 times.

Players must adjust the height and angle of their arm while avoiding various obstacles.

It may look simple at first glance, but once you actually play it, it is much more challenging than expected.

As you grow accustomed to the controls, the thrill of barely maintaining your balance while running begins to shine through.

As you keep playing, the experience becomes more than simply overcoming obstacles.

You also begin to take in the atmosphere of the background and the flow of each scene.

I wanted the camera to feel as though it were following the action in a single continuous take,

so that running through this one-directional world would feel like moving through an unbroken journey.

Because of that, I hoped this game would become not only a hardcore action experience where you must stay tense and alert at every moment, but also one where you can immerse yourself in the scenery and the overall flow of the world.

For those of you who took the time to read this long message,

I’d also like to share a small tip that may help during your playthrough.

As you progress through the game, you will encounter statues along the way.

Many players may mistake them for checkpoints,

but they are not checkpoints.

At the statues, only the bomb fuse and your arm strength can be restored.

So even after passing one, it is important not to let your guard down

and to stay focused until the very end.

There is also an advantage in the game where your arm can remain at certain angles.

Making good use of this can greatly help you get used to the rhythm and feel of the game.

However, I cannot guarantee how long this advantage will remain.

I recommend getting used to it well before it disappears.

And even if you drop the bomb during your run,

I hope you will not feel too discouraged. If you are lucky,

a blessing may appear that allows you to revive right where you died.
