Dear players,

Update 0.8.0 is now available! This highly anticipated update finally opens the doors to the rooftop along with the new cocktail system. Here is the list of changes.

🍹 Tier 3 & Rooftop

Tier 3 is now available and grants access to the rooftop. This new floor introduces:

  • A brand-new environment: the rooftop with lounge tables that can be placed both on the rooftop and on the ground-floor terrace, as well as classic tables and decorative elements to customize your space

  • A fully interactive cocktail system: prepare cocktails using a shaker, pour them into glasses, and add toppings. A cutting board allows you to prepare certain ingredients. Bartenders can also prepare cocktails

  • A DJ to unlock and place on the rooftop: you can call them for €200 to start the music. Their presence increases tips by 5% to 20%

  • Spotlights to enhance the nighttime atmosphere

  • 9 new rooftop-themed dishes :

    • Grilled octopus plate
    • Caviar & foie gras blinis
    • California rolls
    • Burrata quinoa salad
    • Avocado toast
    • Buddha bowl
    • Tuna tataki
    • Charcuterie board
  • Complete visual overhaul of drinksall beverages have been reworked with new glasses and textures to match the visual quality of dishes

Tier 3 will continue to evolve with new decorations and features in future updates. Feel free to share your ideas.

🍷 Drink System Rework

The drink management system has been fully redesigned based on your feedback. In advanced gameplay, drink service became too slow, mainly because bartenders had to walk to each table. This system has been reworked to be both more fluid and more realistic.

  • Drinks are now ordered via the tablet

  • Orders appear in the Orders tab, with their floor and assigned table

  • Bartenders assigned to a floor automatically take and prepare orders

  • Once their tray is full, they place drinks on the bar

  • Waiters then pick them up from the bar and serve them, just like dishes

Based on our tests, this system is now much more fluid.

A claim system allows players to reserve an order from the tablet. A claimed drink is no longer visible to other players or handled by employees, avoiding duplicates. If you play solo, claiming is not required. When placing a drink on the bar, it will automatically match an existing order if one exists.

Each drink can be linked to a specific table. When carrying a drink, a green overlay appears around the corresponding table to indicate where it should be delivered.

A dedicated tutorial will be shown when loading an existing save or during the prologue.

πŸš€ Elevator

A new elevator, essential for accessing the rooftop, has been added. It can be used by players, employees, and customers. It has been designed for efficiency: instead of a real-time movement, usage is instant to avoid wasting time during service.

  • Click the elevator to be instantly teleported to the selected floor

  • Select the floor using the mouse wheel while aiming at the elevator

  • A visual indicator above the elevator shows the selected floor

  • Each player has their own independent saved target floor

The system is also designed for rush situations: you can keep moving and sprinting while using it, allowing seamless movement after teleportation.

A tutorial will be shown in-game.

πŸ“ˆ New Progression & Sandbox Mode

Progression has been significantly accelerated and improved based on your feedback.

  • +1 toque per day

  • Tier progression now at 75% completion

  • Increased XP gains

  • Reduced toque costs

  • Tier 2 rebalanced

A new game mode is now available when starting a new game: Sandbox.

  • All 3 tiers unlocked from the start

  • All employees (waiters, bartenders, chefs) available immediately

  • All dishes unlocked and can be freely enabled/disabled

  • Progression based only on money

  • Starting money increased to €10,000 (instead of €5,000)

This mode lets you play freely without progression constraints while keeping the economic gameplay. You can also take out a loan via the in-game computer (Internet and Bank apps) to accelerate your development.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ New Employees

New employees have been added to improve service flow:

  • 16 waiters

  • 10 bartenders

  • 6 chefs

Note: They are distributed across all tiers, including existing saves.

πŸ’‘ Quality of Life Improvements

  • Lamp rework: now static and no longer movable (replaceable and customizable)

This change improves visual quality. Since lighting is now static for performance reasons, each lamp properly lights its surrounding area, creating a more realistic and visually pleasing result.

(In a future update, Lumen lighting and hardware ray tracing will return as optional features.)

  • Removed penalty for disabled dishes: you can now disable as many dishes as you want without penalty

  • 2-seat tables optimized: both customers now enter from the same side

  • Automated breakfastif enabled, employees use only the tablet to avoid order conflicts
  • Improved smart ordering: now considers previous days and tier (feedback welcome)

  • Floor management: receptionists can now enable/disable floors

  • Hide HUD: press F9

  • Reduced trash spawn: nearly halved

  • Improved physics: better rotation handling, no more objects clipping into the ground

  • Improved bartender behavior: no longer gets stuck if an ingredient is missing

πŸ› οΈ Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a rare crash when spawning customers

  • Fixed breakfast service being skipped by waiters

  • Fixed table cleaning occurring even when the task was disabled

  • Fixed customers using the wrong payment register (wrong floor)

  • Fixed fun actions detection (the β€œtrip” action will return soon)

  • Fixed employee order issues (floor assignment, leave/return)

  • Fixed object customization save issues

  • Fixed plants overlapping table numbers

  • Fixed table number tickets not displaying correctly on some dishes

❀️ Conclusion

Thank you for your support. This update marks a major step forward. The rooftop is just the beginning. We look forward to your feedback.
