Greetings, fellow ghouls!
Mickey here, Parasensor's creative director and lead developer 😈
We are somehow a quarter way through 2026 already so I figured its time I updated you all on Ghoulish's escapades.
👺What have we been doing?
We finally started full production in January this year, thanks to a big grant from Screen Australia!
We're about halfway through Parasensor's total development, having wrapped up pre-production in June-ish last year. Ghoulish had to take a break due to a funding gap, while we all worked other jobs. We all work on Parasensor part-time, so it can be slow going at times.
We've been busy at events like Supanova, PlayNow, Freeplay Angles, ACMI, To The Moon Expo (thanks to Noble Steed), and SXSW Sydney where we showed a public demo for the first time!
Fun fact: Parasensor is (so far) entirely funded by the Australian tax-payer! 🤑🤑 We received grant funding from VicScreen for pre-production and Screen Australia for production - its not enough to complete the game yet but we're so close!
🦋Parasensor development
Our team has been cooking up some more game! There's so much being fleshed out at the moment and we can't wait to share it with you soon.
We don't want to spoil anything until we are ready to show off some real gameplay and story.
For now, I can say that:
We've made a lot of progress on programming and technical stuff, the game is mostly fully functional!
Loads of visual development and concept art is being made - we'll have to put together an art book after we release to show all this beautiful work.
The high level narrative is complete and we're now getting into the specific characters, puzzles, and little stories that you'll encounter.
We're aiming for a feature-complete build of the game in June (that's playable from start-to-finish with placeholder graphics).

TL;DR
Parasensor wrapped up pre-production in June and began production in January.
Lots of development happening but we're not ready to share much yet!
No confirmed release date or demo yet but keep an eye out soon.
The team has been busy at lots of events and we've been showing a WIP demo to the public.
