Paranormal Research Society changes
I'm here to let you know about some new updates to the demo, this time more significant. I've rolled out some new hotfixes and patches prior to this, but none have had changes significant enough to warrant an announcement. This time, however, I've got some critical fixes and updates, as well as new features! How exciting.
New features
An updated voice cast, featuring voice actors for both Felix and Sawyer
A new category for employee evaluation
Ducks
Improvements to enemy files with colloquial names and the like
A handful of other QOL features, such as a separate volume slider for voicelines etc.
Fixed issues
Conrad no longer gets stuck on corners or collisions (the biggest issue I've seen)
Employee evaluation/assignment ranks have been balanced, making it harder to get higher ranks
A handful of physics fixes as a result of updating the physics engine
Quota lowered for higher difficulty missions
Improved audio design for Assignment 04
Probably a bunch more stuff I just forgot about (I've been playing Whack-A-Mole with bugs lately)
Some new bugs have been introduced as a result of updating Godot Engine from 4.3 to 4.7 and migrating the project, but they're more funny than anything, so I haven't done anything to them so far. Perhaps in future updates. Most softlocks present in the original version of the demo have been eliminated, so updating is recommended.
I've been hard at work on the upcoming Early Access release, so the demo version is unlikely to get more updates until its release later this year. I'm hoping to post more updates on the plans for the future of the game, but as of right now, a cheaper EA release seems to be the best way to go forward -- as such, I'm excited to be able to show you all everything I've been working on since the initial release of the demo. The scope has changed greatly thanks to the support I've received, so I'm working hard :-)
If you'd like to keep a tab on the game's development or observe it directly, you can join our Discord server! More often than not, you'll find me in the developer zoo voice channel streaming progress. If not, there's at least semi-daily progress updates on whatever I'm working on, as well as a handful of voice actors shitposting like there's no tomorrow.
Thank you for your support! I hope to bring more content soon :-)
Best regrets, Ellen alias catskulls
