Hello Ghost Hunters, It's been a while since the last update. Life got in the way, but I never stopped thinking about the game. I've been working on a bunch of improvements behind the scenes, and I'm happy to finally bring them to you. This update focuses on making investigations more intense and unpredictable. Ghosts now have new unique abilities, your sanity can play tricks on you, and the difficulty balance has been reworked. On top of that, I've fixed voice recognition, added full gamepad support, and corrected translations across all 9 languages. Thank you for sticking around and for all the feedback. It really means a lot.

Hallucination System

  • New hallucination system that triggers based on your sanity level

  • Three tiers of hallucinations: whispers, fake ghost activity with flickering lights, and fake hunt warnings

  • The lower your sanity, the more frequent and intense the hallucinations become

Ghost Abilities

  • Ghosts now have new unique abilities that change how they behave

  • Territorial ghosts only hunt from their favorite room

  • Shy ghosts won't hunt while you're watching on CCTV

  • Camera shy ghosts react when you photograph them

  • Cursing ghosts (Moroi) drain your sanity faster while you're cursed

  • Shapeshifter ghosts (Obake) can swap an evidence type after 3 minutes

  • Persistent ghosts (Spirit) have longer hunts but move slower during them

  • Electric ghosts speed up near electricity

  • Electronic ghosts speed up when you're on the computer

Difficulty Rebalance

  • Nightmare difficulty is now significantly harder: faster hunts, more aggressive ghosts, less evidence

  • Grace period added at the start of each investigation, no hunts can occur during this time (varies by difficulty from 2 minutes on Easy to 15 seconds on Nightmare)

  • After 8 minutes, hunt checks become more frequent

  • Sanity recovery in light increased from 0.05 to 0.12

  • Evidence durations on Nightmare reduced (UV, Cold, Laser, Orbs: 15s instead of 20s)

Voice Recognition Fixes

  • Fixed voice recognition not working properly — microphone initialization and language model loading have been corrected

  • Voice commands are now case-insensitive

  • Added crash protection when microphone is unavailable or disconnected

Gamepad Support

  • Full gamepad/controller support for navigating menus and in-game UI

  • D-pad grid navigation for UI panels with selection memory

  • Virtual cursor for aiming with controller

  • Freezing interaction now works with gamepad

Translation Fixes

  • Fixed translation errors across all 9 languages

  • Corrected wrong translations in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and German

  • Fixed "Sanity" being mistranslated as "Health" in some languages

  • Fixed truncated text in CJK languages

Other Improvements

  • Door colliders now update dynamically when doors open and close

  • Weather system crash fix when audio clips are missing

  • Various crash fixes and null safety improvements throughout the game

  • Automatic system language detection on first launch
