Commanders,
We´ve published a new update of our game. Tier III modern tanks have been added in this update:
T-64 MBT
Steam post imageSteam post image
The T-64 was a highly advanced Soviet main battle tank developed in the late 1950s and introduced into service in the 1960s by the Kharkiv Morozov Design Bureau. It was the first production tank to combine composite armor, an autoloader, and a compact 125 mm smoothbore gun, allowing it to operate with a three-man crew instead of the traditional four. Designed primarily for elite Soviet units in Europe during the Cold War, the T-64 emphasized firepower and protection over mechanical simplicity, but its sophisticated engine and systems made it expensive and maintenance-intensive compared to later Soviet tanks like the T-72. Although exported only in limited numbers during the Soviet era, the T-64 heavily influenced subsequent Soviet and post-Soviet tank designs, including the T-80.
How to play this tank in our game? Exploit your speed, manoeuvrasbility and massive frontal armor.
Chieftain MK5
Steam post imageSteam post image
The Chieftain Mk 5 was a British main battle tank introduced during the late 1960s as an improved version of the original Chieftain series developed by the United Kingdom. Armed with the powerful 120 mm L11 rifled gun and protected by heavily sloped armor, the Chieftain prioritized long-range firepower and battlefield survivability, making it one of the most formidable NATO tanks of its era. The Mk 5 variant incorporated reliability upgrades, improved engine and transmission components, and better fire-control systems compared to earlier models, addressing some of the severe mobility and mechanical problems that plagued early Chieftains. Although slower than many contemporary tanks due to its underpowered engine, the Chieftain served extensively with the British Army and several export customers, influencing later British designs such as the Challenger 1.
How to play this tank in our game? Play hull-down, with the front slightly elevated, where you can still lower and fire your gun effectively. Use HEAT ammunition, if needed.
Game development will continue with the next update scheduled for release in June/July, 2026.
We look forward to meeting you on the battlefield!
Best regards,
Your PANZERKAMPF® development team
