changedIn this update, we have finally overhauled the old wave skip system. Now it changes how the game plays to suit you better, our player. There are 3 different styles of waves now, eliminating all hostiles, letting the player manually start the next wave, and a timed approach. So lets get further into detail.
changedPlayer StartsIn this approach, the next wave will start whenever the player chooses to. The moment the previous wave has finished spawning the option to start the next wave is activated. You can choose whenever to start the next wave giving you full control of the waves.
changedPlayer StartsThe start wave button will pulse and a reminder will pop up every 15 seconds to just remind you, that you need to start the next wave. Just as you would when starting the waves for the first time.
changedTimed StartThe final approach, timed start is what was previously in the game before this update, and will be the default. In this approach, there are 2 different conditions either X(60 seconds by default) seconds are met, or all hostiles are defeated. Whichever comes first.
changedTimed StartYou have an option to select from 5 to 120 seconds. Where 5 seconds is essentially starting the next wave as soon as possible. Pick a number that works for you, but do beware putting such a low number can have performance impacts depending on your system.
changedTimed StartWe recommend everyone try out the options pick the one that works for them and play the game how you want to play. You're able to swap these in the options mid-game as well, although you might have to wait one wave depending on when you changed the setting.

Wave Control System

  • Eliminate Hostiles

  • Player Starts

  • Timed Start (Default)

Eliminate Hostiles

So in this approach, the next wave will not start until all enemies are defeated, or have entered the HQ. Once this condition is met the next wave will start

Player Starts

In this approach, the next wave will start whenever the player chooses to. The moment the previous wave has finished spawning the option to start the next wave is activated. You can choose whenever to start the next wave giving you full control of the waves.

This approach is great for allowing you to reorganize towers in between waves, set up squads, and buy bunkers. The wave timer will keep ticking though so the longer you wait the longer the timer gets.

The start wave button will pulse and a reminder will pop up every 15 seconds to just remind you, that you need to start the next wave. Just as you would when starting the waves for the first time.

Timed Start

You have an option to select from 5 to 120 seconds. Where 5 seconds is essentially starting the next wave as soon as possible. Pick a number that works for you, but do beware putting such a low number can have performance impacts depending on your system.

We recommend everyone try out the options pick the one that works for them and play the game how you want to play. You're able to swap these in the options mid-game as well, although you might have to wait one wave depending on when you changed the setting.
