Dev Log
Hi protectors! This is LIFUEL. We are currently remastering the Omega Project (Meta-Progression System). We'd like to share our development progress with you through this article.
We've incorporated some of your feedback into these updates and will continue to listen carefully to future input. We greatly appreciate your ongoing feedback and look forward to your continued input. Thank you.

The new changes to the Omega Project are as follows:
Left side: Information panel
Right side: Enhancement branch
Central circular area: Enhancement point
As shown in the image, the diamond icons on the right represent the enhancement branch paths. Players can permanently boost their abilities through enhancements.
Initially, all branches are locked. Although locked nodes display details when hovered over, players must unlock nearby nodes first to progress to the next one.
Once unlocked, enhancements become available. Each node has a maximum enhancement count, allowing players to choose to enhance a single node to a higher level instead of advancing to the next node. Each enhancement increases the node's value, making it more powerful.

The resource required for enhancement is Omega Points. Omega Points can be obtained through purchase. The maximum Omega Points available gradually increases as the game progresses, reaching up to 30 points.
Build
In the previous version, players could unlock all enhancement nodes simply by possessing sufficient resources. While this approach offered advantages in game balance and fairness, it made gameplay somewhat monotonous and lacking in enjoyment.
In the new version, builds will be determined by the Omega Points players possess.
Typically, more nodes will be available than the number of Omega Points, meaning even players with substantial resources cannot unlock all nodes at once. This allows everyone to select and enhance the most suitable nodes based on their playstyle and weapon type.
Use the down arrow key to scroll down and view more node types.
Below is the final appearance of nodes currently planned. There may be minor adjustments during development, but we'll strive to add more content:
Common (Gray): Nodes affecting overall player progression
e.g. Neural Link I | Unlocks 3 skill slots
Attack (Red): Enhancement nodes related to attack
e.g. Execution Protocol | Instantly execute targets below n% HP (excluding Bosses) | 5 / 7 / 9%
Defense (Blue): Enhancement nodes related to defense
e.g. Vitality Regeneration II | Restore n HP upon clearing a stage | 1 / 2
Support (Yellow): Enhancement nodes related to support functions
e.g. Cooldown Optimization | Cooldown recovery speed +n | 3 / 5 / 7 / 9%
If you prefer attacking, you can invest all Omega Points into attack-related nodes. If you feel your attack power is sufficient, you can also allocate some points to defense or support.
(*Some weaker options from the original version have been removed.)
Convenience
Preset
We plan to add a preset feature. Since enhancement strategies may vary for each weapon, presets can be highly useful in such scenarios.
Reset
A reset button will appear next to Omega Points. Clicking this button recycles all enhanced nodes and returns all Omega Points.
Undo Points
We've noticed many games lack an undo points feature. This forces players to reset their entire build if they accidentally enhance the wrong node, which we find cumbersome during the enhancement process. Therefore, we plan to implement an undo function.
Once again, a huge thank you to all players who shared their valuable suggestions.
Conclusion & Test Plan
Since the game's release, many players have provided feedback on the Omega Project. We haven't been able to complete all adjustments in a short timeframe, but the valuable input received during this period has driven significant structural changes. We sincerely appreciate everyone's suggestions.
As development progresses, improvements to the Project Omega are nearing completion. We plan to conduct an extended public test before the official release. The number of enhanced nodes is approximately triple the original content and they require substantial Manium Crystal resources, this may significantly impact the gameplay experience. Therefore, we aim to use this testing period for balance adjustments.
This test will be open to all players who have purchased the game. Specific participation details will be announced via Steam announcements, Discord, Twitter, and other social platforms.
Development is still ongoing, and we welcome your continued valuable feedback. Your creativity and suggestions have been immensely helpful.
Thank you all!
