Greetings! Halloween, like an angry bear in a dark alley, is almost upon us. It's the best season for having a bad time - and I couldn't let that pass without giving OVERWHELM some fresh teeth. Introducing NEW GAME+ For those who have beaten the Hive, here's a new challenge! The post-game NEW GAME+ mode mirrors the map, mixes up the enemy spawns and raises their aggression from the very start. If that wasn't enough, NEW GAME+ decides the order in which you'll fight the bosses and which upgrades the Hive will take first. Every run is different! Additional Features For a little extra fun, there are now shader options in the display menu. Switch the entire game into warm sepia, retro green or a murky midnight blue for a fresh look. (Enemies may blend in more... but that's part of the fun, right?)

This update also brings several improvements to gamepad control, with a pretty laser sight and a few improvements to aiming. You may also notice a smattering of bugfixes and artwork tweaks, a smoother camera, and an improved "Reflex Speed" adjustment that's been moved out of Assist Mode as a general difficulty setting.
