removedThe metric values for the requirements are now shown in the top-left banner (e.g. '3/4 snack points'). They also appear green when the requirement is met and red when not. (The 'requirements' tab has now been removed as this made it superfluous.)
changedLeft mouse button + right mouse button now skips the entire dialogue chain.
removedThe 'Submit' button no longer needs to be held down for several seconds to submit but rather activates immediately.
addedAdded a 'Reset' button to return all placed items back into the catalogue.

Following player feedback, we are happy to showcase a whole bunch of features in Outpacked to improve the user experience, including:

  • Placed items will show a red or green background to indicate whether its constraints are satisfied.

  • Hovering over a keyword (i.e. a 'tag') in the constraints list will highlight any other instances of this tag in the list, as well as any placed items with this tag.

  • A new symbolic notation for the constraints. (The meanings of the symbols are shown when hovering over them, and the original verbose notation can still be enabled via the settings.)

  • Hovering over a placed object will highlight all relevant constraints in either red or green, depending on whether the constraint is currently satisfied. (Okay, this one was in the game already but it's a handy feature nonetheless.)

  • The metric values for the requirements are now shown in the top-left banner (e.g. '3/4 snack points'). They also appear green when the requirement is met and red when not. (The 'requirements' tab has now been removed as this made it superfluous.)

  • You can switch between the catalogue tab and the constraints tab with right click.

  • Left mouse button + right mouse button now skips the entire dialogue chain.

  • The 'Submit' button no longer needs to be held down for several seconds to submit but rather activates immediately.

  • Added a 'Reset' button to return all placed items back into the catalogue.

  • New (optional) 'auto-tab' feature automatically switches to the constraints tab when hovering over any placed item or holding any item.

  • Colourblind mode (coming very soon).

We are very grateful to everyone who tried out the demo and whose feedback helped make Outpacked better!

(These new features will soon be coming to the demo!)
