One week from launch.
We promised we'd listen to your feedback from the Next Fest demo and we did. Before we put the final version in your hands on April 30th, we want to be transparent about what changed and why.
What we improved based on community feedback:
Headquarters Area of Influence — An area around the Headquarters has been introduced. Within this zone, allied administrative units and defensive towers receive buffs, while enemy structures are weakened. This change was designed to prevent early-game rush strategies, extending engagements and creating room for more elaborate tactics as the match progresses.
Interface Modules — The new modules (objectives, selection, production, research, and intelligence) were developed to make management faster and more efficient. With them, micromanagement becomes smoother, allowing you to focus more on strategy and less on execution.
Intelligence System and Research Tree Adjustments – The intelligence system now plays a more significant tactical role, while the research tree has been rebalanced to encourage new approaches and more creative playstyles.
Remastered Graphics — Terrain, unit, and building assets have been rebuilt or re-rendered, improving sharpness and overall quality. The result is a more modern and immersive experience, preserving the essence of the classic—now more visually impressive than ever.
None of these changes would have happened without the people who played the demo, left reviews, posted in discussions, and sent us messages. This game is better because of you. That's not a figure of speech it's a fact.
What stays the same: The core of what Outlive always was. Two factions, three campaigns, real tactical depth, and a war that's been waiting 25 years to finish.
"...the game still holds up nicely in the Outlive 25 remaster with its higher-resolution assets, widescreen UI, campaign tweaks and added content."
Last, but not least: Outlive 25 is on Digital Foundry! We invite you to watch the amazing video they have developed ahead of our April 30 release. Members of the DF team were among the first people to try Outlive 25's launch version (even before general press journalists), and it has been an honor to see them engaging with our game. Thank you, Digital Foundry!
