changedSteam Deck support is a top-priority!So far, so good! Controls well enough! And not only that, but I am also taking it as an opportunity to bring native Linux support for the game, so the game is playable on multiple Linux distributions and Proton won't be really needed! (as if actually working on the game within the Linux environment isn't enough for that)
changedSteam Deck support is a top-priority!...yeah, I could've linked a dedicated webpage under the "Developer Comments" regarding Steam Deck Compatibility that delves deeper into technical details about why am I even bothering to go all out on what should've been an easier task, but they only allow Steam Community pages. So, I had to compromise.

Steam Deck support is a top-priority!

...and I am happy to report that so far, while the game's pretty early in development, it actually works pretty damn well on the Steam Deck! Although, I will still have to focus on aggressively optimizing the game as much as possible for it to run buttery smooth (I noticed that the framerate tanks when there's a lot of heavy particles on the screen... which is stupid and embarrassing, hopefully I'll be able to get rid of all that entirely), but - yeah!

(here's the first test run, featuring yours truly, albeit sleep deprived........ the things I do to make it happen...)

You are still free to check out that info dump, though!
