Neptune - Cool Fuel

Dear highly skilled Orbiteers!

We are exited to show you the last orbit you can conquer in Orbiteers: Neptune!

Neptune’s atmosphere has an almost perfect mix of gases for producing rocket fuel. With a bit of ingenuity, any experienced Orbiteer can build an efficient station that converts the atmosphere into atmo-fuel. But be careful: this far from the Sun, only about 0.1 % of its energy reaches the planet compared to Earth, so conditions get extremely cold.

Atmosphere Collector

Our scientists have developed a major technological breakthrough: the powerful Atmosphere Collector module. By reversing the function of a rocket engine, they've created what is essentially a high-powered vacuum system. It scoops up atmospheric gases and converts them into useful resources. To operate at peak efficiency, the collectors must be kept cool, so be sure to place them far away from your heat producing modules!

Cold Modules

Due to the planet’s distance from the Sun, some modules may experience issues caused by extreme cold. Other modules, however, actually thrive in low temperatures and perform poorly in heat.

We’ve added a handy indicator to each module to show its preferred thermal mode:

We’ve also added the current heat level to each module’s overview.

Due to technological limitations, modules that do not generate their own heat inherit the highest heat level of their neighboring modules, minus one. For example, if you build a farm next to crew quarters with a heat level of 4, the farm will end up with a heat level of 3.

Ignoring temperature requirements will make modules less functional. When completely frozen, they are completely idle.
