WHAT IS OPERATION: BLACK GENESIS?
Operation: Black Genesis — The Immortal Trials is a 1–4 player top-down tactical horror shooter set inside a quarantined medical district where experimental immortality trials transformed patients into biological horrors.
Players operate as a specialized military fireteam sent into the containment zone after a mysterious survivor emerges from the district carrying impossible medical data… and claiming she was cured.
Inside the quarantine, reality is unstable.
The infected remember fragments of who they once were.
And something beneath the city is still alive.
THE JUNE ALPHA — WHAT TO EXPECT
The upcoming Alpha is focused on delivering the core Black Genesis experience.
Players will enter the quarantine zone for the first time and experience:
Tactical co-op gameplay
Instanced horror interiors
Psychological exposure mechanics
Loadout preparation
Resource scarcity and survival pressure
This Alpha is about atmosphere, tension, and survival.
We want players to feel:
under-informed,
vulnerable,
hunted,
and never fully certain what’s real.
THE QUARANTINED ZONE
The world of Black Genesis is built around a massive quarantined district filled with:
abandoned hospitals,
collapsed research facilities,
military checkpoints,
underground facilities,
emergency camps,
and long-forgotten experiment sites.
INSTANCED HORROR LOCATIONS
Every mission can lead you deep into highly dangerous interior zones:
laboratories,
underground complexes,
military facilities,
Experimental treatment chambers.
These locations are designed around:
claustrophobic firefights,
limited visibility,
sound-based tension,
close-quarter combat,
resource scarcity,
and psychological instability.
You are not clearing dungeons.
You are entering places where reality broke.
TACTICAL CO-OP SURVIVAL
This is not an arcade shooter.
Weapons matter. Positioning matters. Ammo matters.
The Alpha includes:
pistols,
shotguns,
assault rifles,
grenades,
recoil management,
reload management,
stamina systems,
stress systems,
and optional friendly fire.
Players can choose any weapon loadout before deployment.
No class restrictions.
No MMO-style roles.
Your survival depends on coordination and decision making.
Panic gets squads killed.
HORROR THAT GETS INSIDE YOUR HEAD
Black Genesis is built around psychological horror systems designed to constantly destabilize the player.
During missions, players may experience:
audio hallucinations,
environmental anomalies,
prop physics events
ENEMY TYPES
The Alpha introduces several terrifying enemy categories including:
FERAL MUTANTS
Fast-moving infected with aggressive pack behavior.
DISTORTED BRUTES
Massive biological horrors capable of breaking barriers and overwhelming squads.
REMNANT MINDS
Failed subjects retaining fragments of memory and emotional response.
RITUAL ABERRATIONS
Rare nightmare-class entities tied directly to the deepest layers of the Black Genesis experiments.
And this is only the beginning.
THIS ALPHA IS JUST THE BEGINNING
The June Alpha represents the first major deployment phase for Operation: Black Genesis.
This stage is critical for: Not all listed features are fully implemented at Alpha Launch.
gameplay balancing,
combat feedback,
horror pacing,
cooperative systems,
stress mechanics,
exploration flow,
and community-driven iteration.
We’re building this alongside the players who believe in the project from the start.
Your feedback will directly shape the evolution of the quarantine zone.
ENTER THE TRIALS THIS JUNE
The perimeter opens soon.
Gather your squad.
Load your weapons.
And prepare to descend into the quarantine.
Because inside Black Genesis…
death is no longer the end.
