Localization Update

I want to be honest with you about the current state of localization in the game.

Right now, the game fully supports English, German, French and Russian. Previously, I also added Simplified Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish, but for now these languages had to be temporarily disabled.

Not because I don’t want them in the game — I really do. But because I ran into a technical issue that directly affects gameplay.

What’s the problem?

It comes down to how numbers work in different languages. In English, decimals use a dot (1.99), while in many other languages it becomes a comma (1,99). This leads to issues with rounding.

In this game, prices matter. You don’t just give whole dollars — you also give cents. Because of this formatting difference, players can end up in situations where they can’t give the correct change.

For me, that’s not a minor issue — that’s broken gameplay.

What I did

As soon as I discovered this (while my wife was playing), I spent about 3 days trying to fix it. I tested different systems, different logic and multiple approaches — but for now, I don’t have a stable solution.

The decision

I’d rather have fewer languages that work correctly than more languages with broken functionality.

Even if the game had only one language — and worked perfectly — I would still choose that. Because I wouldn’t want to play a game where core mechanics don’t work just because of localization.

About translations

Most translations were initially created with AI assistance, so they are not perfect. I will continue improving them over time. If you notice anything off — wording, tone or mistakes — please share your feedback. It really helps.

What about the disabled languages?

I’m not giving up on them. If I find a proper solution — they will come back.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
