Sanity Scar System
Replaced the corpse run system with Sanity Scars
On death, your Sanity cap is reduced by a small amount (e.g. 100 to 90) instead of losing currency
Retrieving your Sanity Scar grants a Sanity tier buff, rewarding persistence rather than punishing failure
Death marker now appears on the world map with a sonar effect to help locate it
Boss Finishing Blow
Added cinematic Finishing Blow sequence when defeating bosses
Features a stylized ASTRAL background with silhouette rendering of the player and boss
Includes afterimage effects, camera work, and audio
Prologue Cutscene
Added a new voiced prologue cutscene that plays at the start of the game
Hold to skip for cutscenes that allow skipping, normal in-engine cutscenes are still one-press
Combat Improvements
Reworked Arcane class with buffs for a more unique and satisfying playstyle
Added combo input grace window for smoother attack chains
Added melee hit effects and improved hit feedback
Added hit flash and hit stop on enemy body contact
Improved parry timing and cooldowns
Fixed parry displacement issues
Added status effect flashes on hit
Adjusted camera shake intensities
Movement and Controls
Added run acceleration and deceleration for smoother movement
Added WASD keyboard preset with toggle in settings
Added D-Pad movement mode as an alternative to analog stick (controller)
Added D-Pad navigation mode for menus
Swapped controller trigger and shoulder bindings
Fixed PS4, Xbox, and other controller button display translations
Allow inventory access while on ladder
Allow ladder look-up attacks (climbing freezes during attack)
Snap player to nearest ledge edge when hanging

Reality Shift now triggers automatically for a more seamless world-building experience
