Patch Notes: December 22nd, 2025

Happy Holidays everyone! The Once Upon a Galaxy dev team has been decorating, drinking hot chocolate and cooking a hot patch for the holidays. Let’s unwrap this bad boy and see what Santa brought us.

New Shared Pool Cards!

Two New Cards will be joining the shared pool this month! Say hello to Ham-Star and Peachy Queen!

Ham-Star

We wished upon a star and the Ham-Star was listening. Our fuzzy new friend is joining the shared pool and looking to light up the night and your slots!

Peachy Queen

Our slew of common faeries get another friend! Will your stars align?

Shared Pool Shakeup

We’ve had a few months since the last major set of changes to our Shared Pool and we’ve decided it’s time to give it a little shakeup. The intent of these changes is to help bring tools back to archetypes that have been underperforming and keep the game fresh and diverse.

Returning Cards

• Merlin

• Frankenstein’s Doctor

• Mighty Mouse

• Gingerbread House

These 4 friends are returning to the Shared Pool. Most remain unchanged from when they left with the exception of Gingerbread House which has the fancy new Candy type and frame.

Leaving Cards

These cards are leaving the shared pool and becoming inactive for the time being.

Daisy Jones has been a card that has not really lived up to the level we hope for our cards and was often too many hoops to jump through to be viable.

We are bringing back some of the more flexible mage payoff with Merlin and have opted to let the Wizard of Oz go back behind the curtain for the time being.

As with the other cards that became inactive before and are returning this patch, this doesn’t mean that Daisy Jones and Wizard of Oz are gone for good, just gone for now.

Card Name Changes

We are fixing a spelling error with one of these name changes, bet you can’t tell which.

Bugs and Quality of Life Fixes

• Faker the Caker Baker and Trash Panda were misbehaving. Both have gotten a stern talking to and will be less greedy moving forward.

• 0 Health character will no longer stick around

• Associated Cards (like treasures found off Treasure Find) will now be visible behind the cards that create them in deckbuilding.

• Candy Pandy will no longer show up on Thing in the Ice and you cannot find Timeline Duplicator while playing Candy Pandy

• Paul Bunyan is now a base 1/1 (him being a 0/0 was a bug)

• Dragon Jewel has a wording change to match its function

• All your Lightning in a Bottles will be in the left most slot of your treasures

• Summoned “tokens” (like Jack, Andy, Monkies from Barrel of Monkies, etc.) are now common rarity so they properly work when attacking an Oracle of Fortunes

• Through the Looking Glass will no longer appear in random single spell shops

• Tink’s Torches fixed
