OMSI 2 Berlin Line 186 News – Berlin at Night

The work on the OMSI 2 Add-On Berlin Line 186 continues to progress steadily.

While the add-on is still currently in an intensive testing phase, we would like to share some new work-in-progress screenshots showcasing Berlin at night.

The images already provide an impressive look at the atmospheric and highly detailed nighttime environment of the route.

Especially during the evening and nighttime hours, Berlin along Line 186 reveals its very own unique character. Numerous illuminated advertisements, shop windows, streetlights, traffic signals, and individually designed light sources create an authentic big-city atmosphere and make the virtual capital feel alive.

The different lighting moods throughout the route clearly demonstrate the level of attention being paid to a realistic recreation.

Whether it is busy streets, smaller side roads, or well-known locations along the route, every effort has been made to capture the characteristic feel of Berlin as authentically as possible.

Many smaller details also contribute to the overall atmosphere. Different lighting colors, illuminated bus stops, and various decorative elements ensure that the route remains visually diverse and lively even at night.

At the same time, development work naturally continues behind the scenes.

The testing team is still regularly reviewing new versions of the add-on, while numerous smaller adjustments are being implemented in parallel. These include additional decorations along the route, fixes for reported issues, as well as further stability and performance optimizations.

The screenshots shown are therefore still taken from a work-in-progress version. Individual areas, objects, or details may still change before release.

An exact release date has still not yet been announced.

However, the ongoing development and testing continue to bring the project step by step closer to completion.

Even now, the new nighttime screenshots clearly show just how much attention to detail is going into the recreation of Berlin Line 186.
