OMEGA PHENEX COMMENCED PROJECT SIX changes
This is Surumemanzyu, the developer of OMEGA PHENEX. To all the pilots who participated in our recent Alpha Test and provided us with invaluable combat data: thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Additionally, the number of wishlists for this game has now officially surpassed the 60,000 mark. Knowing that so many pilots are currently on standby in their hangars, awaiting their next sortie, is a truly humbling reality that braces us for the mission ahead.
Today, we would like to share the insights we’ve gained from the survey results, including the tendencies of our pilots and what you are demanding from the development team.
■ 1. The Pilots' Identities: "Veterans" and "New-Gen Aces" from Across the GlobeSteam post image
We received a total of 144 responses (85 in Japanese, 59 in English). We are truly thrilled to see such incredible attention focused on this project, not just from Japan, but from all over the world.
Across both languages, we found that nearly 90% of respondents are"Independent Mercenary Ravens", about 70% are"Collared Lynxes", and over half are"Ace Pilots from a Penal Unit". We are completely overwhelmed by the fact that such a purebred gathering of hardcore mech and aerial combat fans has assembled here. What’s especially surprising is our overseas player base. Despite being largely in their 20s, they have actively dug up and played masterpieces from the PS3 era, proving themselves to be "New-Generation Aces" with immense passion. It is incredibly reassuring to know they will be flying these skies alongside our battle-hardened "Veterans" in the Japanese market.
■ 2. No One Asked for a "Watered-Down" Game
Steam post imageWhen asked about the game's difficulty, exactly zero pilots answered "Very Difficult (Unfair)." This not only gave us a glimpse into your high skill levels but also highlighted just how much you are craving a merciless fight to the death.
Furthermore, we received numerous requests for "high-speed battles in vast skies," "expanded customization," and "heavier feedback/impact when dealing and taking damage."
Taking your fiery feedback to heart, we are continuing to polish the combat freedom, expandability, and overall handling. At the same time, we are aggressively pushing the story elements forward by outsourcing and recording voice acting. Please look forward to the upcoming Beta version.
Additionally, the data showed a massive demand for a PlayStation release, especially from Japanese fans.
We are already making moves to make this a reality, and when the time comes, we hope we can count on your support.
Faced with your overwhelming passion, our mission as a development team has been narrowed down to a single objective. That is NOT to make the game "mild" or "casual" just to appeal to the masses.
Our mission is to deliver the sharpest, most hardcore experience possible to our comrades worldwide—those whose brains were scorched by that "insane sense of speed" from the golden era, and who are still starving for that exact thrill today.
From here on out, we are raising the banner for the "Restoration of High-Speed, Hardcore Mech Action." We will pour every ounce of our resources into resurrecting that speed for the modern age to meet your expectations. Thank you for your continued support!
■ 3. The Next Battlefield: Seeking Challengers at TIGS 2026 (Mar 20-21)
To let you experience this "sharp difficulty and speed" as soon as possible, we will be exhibiting the first playable Beta version of the game at the TOKYO INDIE GAMES SUMMIT 2026 in Koenji, Tokyo, on March 20th and 21st. Steam post image At our booth, we have prepared an "Ultra-Hardcore Special Mode" to test your skills. Your opponent will be the Icarus unit"Unclock"—the winner of last month's video submission campaign. Any "Survivor" who manages to clear this mode will have their name etched in the final game's credits. (However, if you are defeated, you will be mercilessly recorded as "KIA" on the whiteboard at our booth). If you are living nearby or visiting Tokyo, we are waiting at the venue to see how many fierce pilots can repel our challenge! For our comrades across the globe who cannot make it to the venue, we will be sharing photos and video feeds directly from the frontlines on the developer's X account. We hope you enjoy the updates from afar! Follow Official X: https://x.com/surumemanzyu 🎫 TIGS2026 real event tickets: https://l-tike.com/event/mevent/?mid=776668
