OFF GRID : Stealth Hacking changes
This week we want to showcase the place where Joe spends his usual 9-5, Ascent Auditance. Unlike the flashy startups occupying the other floors of the building, Ascent is the kind of office that never evolved from the styling of the early 2000s. Technology is old, security is lacking and his boss is hiding something. Luckily you have some help from a friend.
Steam post image The office is closed at this time, how will Joe find a way in? Hacking, social engineering?
The receptionist, Janet Brown, works 6 days a week, meaning she’s still in the office on Saturdays. Most of her working hours are spent either at the reception, the printer, or announcing people to her boss.
Steam post image Fax machines? What is this 2005?...
Janet likes a clean working area, so there isn't much of interest, but she does have a habit of leaving magazines around, and what she reads might become useful for later hacks. There's also a fax machine on one of the tables, a perfect old gadget to get into.
Steam post image Ah, printers. The true enemy of office productivity, always leading to problems...
Because her work is always the same that also means where she goes and what she does is very predictable to Joe. The printer is one of the distractions that Joe might use, so if she spends too much time trying to fix a problem on the printer, it creates the perfect distraction for Joe to slip past her and get closer to his objective.
More to come on Ascent Auditance, And as always, if you haven’t already - be sure to wishlist Off Grid on Steam - each wishlist makes a big difference to us, and we really appreciate your support!
