addedHi everyone! We have some exciting news for you today… but first, a bit of context. When we released Odyssey on Steam Early Access back in February, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect. Would people enjoy the game? Would people have valuable feedback? What sort of ideas and suggestions would our players send our way, and how easy or difficult would they be to implement? We were delighted when you all began to give us so much fantastic feedback, clear and easy to digest. So we set about implementing it. We wanted to stay on Early Access for long enough to be confident in the quality of Odyssey - to make sure that what we’d be putting out there was something we could be proud of, and that the community would enjoy to its fullest. Now, as we edge into April, we feel we’re almost there - and so, we’re very happy to announce today that the V1 version of Odyssey will launch on Steam on Wednesday 19th April! There are a few things in particular that we’d like to draw your attention to. 1) We’ve improved the camera movement. This was something a lot of people mentioned - that the mouse seemed both over- and under-sensitive in places. We’ve spent time tweaking and improving this, and we now think it feels just right. 2) We’ve finished up the soundtrack. This means the entire game now has a full original score, by the excellent Alfredo Sirica, which we absolutely love. We hope you do too. 3) There are a whole load of bug-fixes. Too many to list here. The game should feel much more stable now. 4) And finally… we’ve decided to change the price point to $14.99. We’re aware that this might frustrate some people, who bought the game at $19.99 during Early Access. But while we believe Odyssey is a high-quality product with several hours of gameplay time, after careful deliberation we’ve decided the price may have been a little on the high side. We want to open the door to Odyssey for more people, which has been the main trigger for the decision. We hope those of you who bought the game at $19.99 will understand, but do feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. So, exciting times ahead! Thanks as always for everyone’s support - and roll on the 19th! Vivek and Omkar The Young Socratics
