OddFauna : Secret of the Terrabeast changes
It’s been an incredible couple of weeks since we launched into Early Access, and Emma and I want to give a massive thank you to everyone who has jumped in to explore the world of OddFauna: Secret of the TerraBeast. We've been reading through all your feedback, watching your gameplay, and taking lots of notes.
For this update, we focused on tuning the very beginning of the game. We want those opening moments to feel as inviting and intuitive as possible, so we've made several adjustments to the early pacing and onboarding to help you find your footing faster.
Alongside those tweaks, we’ve been busy hunting down the bugs you’ve reported.
Early Game Adjustments
- Systems ClarityAdjusted the opening tutorial prompts to help introduce you to the gameplay loops.
TerraBeast First Growth: Balanced the first growth so it is easier, allowing you more time to discover all the game has to offer and still grow the TerraBeast.
🐛 Bug Fixes & Improvements
Tuned 1st TerraBeast Growth
Added Unstuck button
Improved help at the beginning
Improved explanation of tree points
Fixed dupe building in the overworld
Fixed floating trees and objects
Improved Waystone activated fx
Tune tree growth rate
Fixed bees and honey not showing up in bee house
Fixed ground teleported moving up when growing TerraBeast.
Fixed Ground teleporter double transform
Fixed Can craft metal tools without anvil
Fixed Can craft tools when inventory is full
Removed confusing befriending FX on some OddFauna
Fixed Cannot demolish campfires
Fixed Bees not showing up in beehive
Fixed Greckle not pollinating
Added toast for watering can
Fixed OddFauna disappear when TerraBeast grows.
Fix too many houses spawning
Tuned backpack ui
Fixed Bertie’s dialogue after completing quest
Increased max community size to be bigger than growth target
Molo is incorrectly showing up.
