Ocean Punk changes
Long time no see! Today, we are about to receive the final update of version 1.8, which includes system optimizations such as character tags, faction system, wild crops, and level optimization, as well as numerous bug fixes.
During the content development in the past year, we left behind many minor tasks and tasks related to the reintegration of the new system. These pending tasks are very important, so I hope to prioritize their handling before starting the development of the subsequent version 1.9. Even so, in May, we also conducted a real implementation test for the giant marine creatures in the future version, which laid the foundation for the subsequent development.
Without further ado, let's take a look at what specific tasks were carried out.
Improve character tags
Captain [Only]: The initial stage has been completed.
Prisoner: The initial stage has been completed.
Traitor: The initial stage has been completed.
Priest [Unique] [Exclusive]: Responsible for interacting with buildings such as churches, desks, and cemeteries, as well as conducting rituals and prayers. Requires musical instruments (otherwise unhappy). The priest has a unique group effect (faith buff) at the end of each ritual; if a crew member dies, he will also make the group's sadness disappear; it can also improve the relationship between certain people (*[Exclusive: Priest and Wizard] Both exist then both have bad moods*)
Expert: They are responsible for high-intelligence activities such as technology seminars. During their work, they will acquire specialized skills. They will also organize technology-related ceremonies.
Wizard [Unique] [Exclusive]: Perform Voodoo ritual, there is a chance to drop potions and give buffs to crew members while removing debuffs (*[Exclusive: Wizard and Priest] Both exist then both will be in a bad mood*)
Guard [The Only One]: Skilled at dealing with traitors and prisoners, he will do his utmost to maintain team unity. With him around, the mindset of others will gradually improve.
Vassal [Only]: Responsible for maintaining factional relations and maintaining good relationships with visiting NPC characters.
Add NPC Affection System
The NPC has added a "Visitor Relationship Panel", which is usually displayed next to the transaction panel. Players can give gifts (such as wine, flowers, etc.) to increase the relationship score and the faction relationship.
The NPC's favorability can lead to increased item quantities, discounted prices (-50%), and other benefits.
If players anger NPCs, their favorability will decrease. Killing NPCs will completely clear their favorability.
The faction system has been implemented. Random events involving NPCs have been removed. Instead, NPCs will be unlocked based on faction favorability. The visiting mechanism has also been optimized.
Hierarchical optimization
Optimizing the cursor and other player controls can only interact with the buildings at the current level.
When restoring the process of crop planting, if the perspective levels are not consistent, it may cause the problem where plants are unexpectedly displayed instead of being hidden.
Add a button for handling small animals at a new level
Fixing the stone pillars will cause a problem where the subsequent construction will be affected by the stone pillars at other levels, making it impossible to build them.
Each level's initial unlock should be accompanied by a prompt.
Fix the issue where the range circles for different levels of the same type of building are all displayed.
Fix the issue where the bed is displayed on multiple layers
Fix the issue where the status icons for buildings and crops are not hidden.
Optimization of the Adventure Mode
(Please note that we will specifically optimize the issues related to the offshore supports in the 1.9 port area.)
- Adventure ModeFixed the issue where players could interact with multiple buildings using the E key.
- Adventure ModeFixed the issue where players' buildings constructed on the scaffolding were placed on the ship rather than the scaffolding itself (partially resolved)

General Update
New vibration feedback switch (settings)
New Prisoners: They may appear in the island room (abandoned camp). When recruiting, they will be assigned the prisoner tag, but their attributes will be higher (similar to the drowning victim mechanism)
New butterfly: Appears near flowers, drops resin, enhances the vitality of the island
New pink baby lamb (rare)
The imperial guards have added language dialogue bubbles, such as "King of Fish!" and "Defend!"
Add the exterior walls of the imperial town to enhance the sense of fortification.
Add the effect of fireflies to the grass and sand at night.
Add wild crops to facilitate players' acquisition of crop seeds in the wild, and at the same time enrich the island's ecosystem: Wild carrots have a chance to spawn on sandy areas; Wild tomatoes have a chance to spawn on grasslands; Wild coffee has a chance to spawn on volcanoes; Wild reeds have a chance to spawn on decaying soil.
New prompt for loading saved game panel
New addition: Whale (a huge marine creature): Players need to search for its whereabouts...
New seasonal creature appearance alerts: For example, "Glacier Walrus Appears"
New lava treasure chest (hidden feature)
Add cultural rituals, faction system data archives
The nests of flamingos have been equipped with a mechanism for laying eggs (volcanic eggs)
New feature: Temporary invincibility during map edge teleportation. Can temporarily avoid wave impacts.
Newly added nautical chart landmarks display: Volcanoes, icebergs will mark the map (they will only be displayed after players explore, similar to important landmarks such as the Fountain of Immortality, the Statue of the Goddess, and the Prize Machine)
The side panel of the soil cultivation box has added a "Remove Crop" button and a "Crop" button. By clicking these buttons, you can select and display the crop panel.
Optimize the homing mechanism of the nest creatures, including the following creatures: sea fireflies, spiders, seagulls, fishmen, and imperial fishmen.
Optimize the display of building status icons: After showing the power icon (switch), no more status icons such as power shortage or water shortage will be displayed.
Optimize the construction process mechanism: During the planning stage, first check 5 materials. If they are insufficient, then check 1 material. Try to ensure the smooth progress of the work.
The sink has been switched to automatic mode.
Improve the NPC of the pirate ship: Players can sell the crew members.
Replace the cotton with reeds and the cultivation must be done in a hydroponic box.
The sea fireflies hibernate during the storm season. During this time, the nests will become visible at night. After being collected, they will restore a large amount of life points for the surrounding creatures, and at the same time, some important resources will be dropped.
Change the defibrillator to the automatic mode and optimize its working effects.
The PC games will be re-packaged in 64-bit format (many players have reported experiencing crashes. This might be a compatibility issue with Win11 for 32-bit. Therefore, we will uniformly switch to 64-bit packaging in the future. Currently, the performance is good. If you encounter crash issues again, please let me know and thank you).
Optimize wire display: Automatically hide when there are many wires.
Optimize task time scale: Simple distillation does not require workers to be continuously involved, so it does not trigger the heavy warning prompt (the same applies to some buildings)
Optimize the archiving mechanism and enhance security. If the archiving fails, do not overwrite the oldest archive.
Optimize the prices of the post-processing materials sold by merchants (↑)

When fixing the script for choosing a different number of players at the beginning of the game, if the issue of abnormal number of crew members occurs due to selecting "Destiny" (random crew members)
