Obsideo changes
Public Lobbies:
Obsideo now has public lobbies, so long gone are the days of you needing to message the Discord and ask people to play, just join one of the lobbies hosted by random people. VOIP will be coming soon, so you'll be able to talk to people that you join. The lobbies are categorized as follows:
Public: Anyone can see it in the "Find Games" screen on the Main Menu.
Friends Only: Only friends can see it on the "Find Games" screen on the Main Menu, and friends don't need an invite to join.
Private: Only people you invite are able to join, even friends won't be able to join without an invite, and your game won't show up on the "Find Games" screen on the Main Menu.
4 Player CO-OP:
Obsideo now finally supports 4 players! I expect this to come with a lot more bugs so if you experience anything at all, please immediately report it on my Discord: https://discord.gg/obsideo, and I'll get to work fixing any issue you encounter straight away.
Sorry, it took so long to get 4 players to a place I was comfortable releasing it at, I really just wanted to make sure we had a solid foundation, and consistent 2 player co-op before I jumped in and doubled the player count. Please, please make sure you have at least a 10MB/s internet speed for now if you want to play 4 player co-op as it is still quite demanding, this will be improved with each update.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed a bug where blood writing wasn't showing up in the Ghost Wiki for Oni
Fixed a bug where the hunt sometimes wasn't getting stopped by starting an exorcism
Fixed a bug where interactions would completely stop
Fixed a bug where some interactions would get stuck in place (This may still be happening in some areas of some maps, let me know in the Discord if you see it).
Fixed a bug where it wasn't properly detecting certain exorcism items in the room
Fixed a bug where it wasn't properly detecting if the player was holding the ghostwriting book
Fixed the UI on wide-screen monitors
Fixed a bug where the lighting was weird on Wilson Drive
Fixed a bug where players would sometimes be a few seconds behind on co-op
Changes/QoL Improvements:
You can now close menus with the escape key
You can now skip the intro screen by pressing space
You can now scroll to swap between equipment
Significant performance improvements
Significant networking improvements
Reduced the starting intro volume
Reduced blood rain volume
Increased the rate of all interactions
Decreased the flashlight range/brightness
Added minor volumetric fog to all maps
Increased the spirit box matryoshka doll talking range from 3 meters to 9 meters.
Added a lot more keybindings, almost complete controller support now, the only thing you'll need to do is press 'B' occasionally.
Removed the lighter from all the maps, to turn on the candles, just press your interact key while holding it.
