The project has officially progressed to the Demo stage.
This build represents a significantly more complete demo experience, with clearer narrative context and a stronger introduction to the world of O3: Hollow Descent. From the very beginning, it is now designed to answer the core questions of who the player is, where they are, and why they are there.
Intro Experience
Added the first intro mission, taking place before the descent
Introduced a playable intro cutscene
Establishes tone, atmosphere, and narrative context from the start
Audio and Voice
Voice acting has been implemented for:
The protagonist (03)
The Mothership AI
Music and voice work are currently in early testing, but already contribute significantly to immersion and atmosphere
New Biome
Added a new exterior biome
Provides an initial visual and atmospheric introduction to the surface environment
LiDAR Drone – New Gameplay System
The LiDAR drone has been implemented as a new gameplay system
This system enabled and validated multiple gameplay directions
The drone is being consolidated as an active ability with several functions:
Defensive support
Searching and spotting
Active offensive use
It is intended to function as a reliable support tool during exploration and combat
Fixes and Improvements
Resolved a large number of bugs to improve overall stability
Performance optimizations are ongoing, with measurable FPS gains already achieved
Visual improvements, including:
Shader refinements
VFX polish
Enemy shooting behaviors have been adjusted based on player feedback
This demo represents the current state of development and showcases key systems and the overall direction of O3: Hollow Descent. More updates will follow.
