addedHey y'allEvery night of the con I went back to my house and patched multiplayer until late, because the netcode kept catching new edge cases under real conference WiFi. Auth bugs, random disconnects, weird tooltip wordings. The build playing at the booth on Sunday was meaningfully better than the one on Friday. I'm taking that feedback loop into the demo.

Hey y'all

DreamHack was a blast. Three days of watching strangers figure out the merge in real time, getting absolutely wrecked by The Rot, and chaining combos I didn't know my own game could do.

The single most common reaction at the booth:"WAIT... it has MULTIPLAYER?!"A few things came up in feedback I want to bake into the demo:

  • Tooltips and text in general need to be bigger (by far the #1 note)

  • Right-side UI needs to read more clearly at a glance

  • Tutorial needs work - particularly teaching the parallel merge bonus more organically

  • Color accessibility support

  • A bunch of smaller tweaks and clarity passes on mods that aren't reading well

Really useful stuff. Thanks to everyone who took the time to actually tell me what they thought instead of just saying "nice game." and leaving.

Next up:

If Numbers Go Up looks like your thing: wishlist it today. It's the single biggest thing that helps me get into festivals and onto more people's screens before the demo goes live.

See y'all at the next one.

Best, Sam
