addedI thought it would take me much longer to get this update out. SURPRISE! Welcome to the Mischief & Modules update! This patch brings a massive overhaul to how you build your ships, adds highly requested customization options, and brings in some crucial balance changes and bug fixes to smooth out your journey through the void. Please restart Steam or Verify your files to download the update
addedNew Features & ContentShip Customization: You can now personalize your vessel! I've added the ability to customize both Metal Colors and Lighting Colors on your ship.
addedNew Features & ContentRest Action: Added a new "Rest" button. You can now strategically pass a turn without having to move your ship.
addedOverhauls & BalanceShip Modules Overhaul: I've completely overhauled ship modules, bringing significant changes and improvements to both passives and upgrades to open up new build strategies. Every upgrade and passive has been replaced with an equivalent module. Modules come in seven categories, Combat, Utility, Defense, Black Market Combat|Utility|Defense, and Wildcard. The base modules increase one stat in the relevant category Black market modules increase two stats in the relevant category, but decrease a stat in one of the other categories. Black market modules can only drop from enemies, or be bought at pirate stations or illicit system planets. Wildcards are the chase items. These can roll with 2 to 5 stat increases from any category, and be placed into any slot category. Wildcard modules can only be found dropped from enemies.
changedOverhauls & BalanceSteam post image The first time you log in it's going to refund all credits that you have spent on upgrades to this point, and it will give you a basic module that was either modeled after that ships passive, or a cargo module if a module equal to the functionality of that doesn't exist.
changedOverhauls & BalanceOut-of-Combat Economy: The void just got a little less forgiving. We've rebalanced the energy economy outside of combat to be more punishing, which includes a notable nerf to out-of-combat energy and shield regeneration.
