What changed
- Gameplay
Okay, the Mod system turned out to be a tough one. The meta progression conflicted with it, making the game completely unplayable after a 10-win streak or so. This forced me to remove some scaffolding mid-update in version 0.4.5. Meta progression (Bazaar) has been removed. I may add some fun stuff to it later, like collectibles.
The game is now a pure roguelike (I’ve removed the roguelite tag). Every run starts from scratch.
The character starts from scratch. No movement extensions, no mods, and no permanent upgrades.
Mods and movement extensions are available by opening crates. It’s still a bit random for now — I’m still thinking about the best approach.
I thought this change would come a bit later, but that’s okay. Actually, it’s even better. Now I can fully focus on the content.
