Not Quite A Fairy Tale changes
We’re bringing a bunch of new tricks and bad decisions to the demo at upcoming Steam Fests:
Overcharge
Crit and Crit Fail chances now scale with your Charge. High stakes, bigger mess. It’s not a bug, it’s a gambling addiction.
Weighted AI
First, we made it too smart (players cried). Then too dumb (we cried). Now, it acts like a real player — going for spectacular combos or failing miserably trying.
Skill combos
Every skill now has unique combo conditions. Chain them right to survive, or mess them up and die slightly faster:
Fire: Pyromania at its best — burn and blind targets to set up a devastating finishing blow.
Lightning: The more hits you take to the face, the more impact you deal. Some call it masochism; we call it a comeback strategy.
Ice: Freeze and control shared Charge cards to mess up enemy strategy and boost your own skills.
Nature: All about statuses. The more you debuff them and buff yourself, the harder you hit. Just try not to mess up the order.
Might: Just a good old-fashioned bar fight with bleeding, marking, and stuns.
Try the demo at Steam Next Fest and Deckbuilder Fest - when it clicks, wishlist the game and tell us what worked (or didn’t).
P.S. And of course we have a boss Tank. Our GD says everybody loves boss Tank! No? Well, at least it’s not a boss Helicopter...
