Northgard: Definitive Edition changes
| Hey Vikings! Prepare to return to Northgard at its finest with the release of the Definitive Edition on December 4th. This new edition is a tribute to eight years of battles, sagas, and to you, our incredible community, that made it all possible thanks to your support. After years of developing the game with you, the time is right for one final update. The Definitive Edition will add new conten t to the game but also change what the base game is by including additional clans and campaign. These changes will take place on December 4th in the form of a free major update if you already own Northgard.Today we’re showcasing all the changes that are coming to Northgard with the Definitive Edition. |

Reaching Valhalla
A new biome available for all with the definitive edition.

The heroes' resting place. The one the legends speak of. After all those years of battling your way through the harsh winters, the unending attacks, and the treacherous hazards of Northgard, you are finally here. And the guardians have no intention of letting you in. You didn't think this would end without one last fight, did you?
Expanding Bifrost
Extended realms

The Bifrost Realms are being added to Singleplayer and Multiplayer game modes so that you can finally fight against other vikings in the heat of Muspellheim or in the salty desert of Idavoll!
New Frostbite mode
A new “Frostbite” challenge is also being added to Bifrost!
If you manage to triumph over the realms, you’ll be able to increase the difficulty via chosen handicaps in exchange of valuable rewards for your run.
A redesigned shop

The in-game shop is reworked to better represent the different skins and townhall you’ll be able to claim using your irons. You will also find a new villager skin available by completing the game entirely!
A new art gallery

An art gallery is integrated containing every artwork made during the development of Northgard.
DLC integration and price change
The Definitive Edition will also include the base game, the Cross of Vidar expansion pack, 3 additional clans,"the art of Northgard" digital artbook and will be priced at $34.99.
In line with Steam’s requirements, we’re updating the price today. This update allows us to offer you a special launch discoun t when the Definitive Edition releases. Regional pricing is updated to match Steam’s latest recommendations and reflect the added content in this edition.
If you own Northgard but don’t own any or some of the DLC mentioned above, the DLC will be integrated to your game in a free update.
If you own Northgard and all of the DLC mentioned above, you won’t be impacted by these changes.
If you don’t own Northgard, we recommend waiting until December 4th before purchasing the Definitive Edition to take advantage of a special launch discount!
