addedIt’s been a while since the last content update for NONOTOWN , and I wanted to take a moment to explain what has been happening behind the scenes. The only update you’ve seen recently was a necessary security patch due to a Unity vulnerability, but no new gameplay content — and here’s why.
addedEarlier this year, I finished developing an entirely new game mode. On paper, everything worked. But after playing it extensively, I realized that the experience just wasn’t where it needed to be. It felt frustrating, not fun, and far from the quality I want NONOTOWN to deliver. So instead of releasing something I wasn’t happy with, I decided to step back.
addedI originally expected to have the revised version of the new game mode ready this year (2025), but fixing its design has been more challenging than anticipated. The updated Classic version is now working well, but I still need to complete the Color version and create a solid amount of new levels so the mode feels complete and properly guides players on how the new mechanics should be approached.
addedI don’t want to rush things. My aim is to release this major update next year, hopefully within the first quarter. My priority is ensuring that the new mode is polished, enjoyable, and worthy of your time.
changedThank you all for your patience, your support, and for playing NONOTOWN. I truly appreciate every one of you. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season — Merry Christmas, happy December festivities, and see you soon with fresh updates!

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while since the last content update for NONOTOWN, and I wanted to take a moment to explain what has been happening behind the scenes. The only update you’ve seen recently was a necessary security patch due to a Unity vulnerability, but no new gameplay content — and here’s why.

Earlier this year, I finished developing an entirely new game mode. On paper, everything worked. But after playing it extensively, I realized that the experience just wasn’t where it needed to be. It felt frustrating, not fun, and far from the quality I want NONOTOWN to deliver. So instead of releasing something I wasn’t happy with, I decided to step back.

After that, I took some “time off” to work on another game I’ve been developing for a long time — something I hope to release around 2026 or 2027. This break was genuinely necessary; after months of nonogram grids, I was literally seeing squares every time I closed my eyes.

I originally expected to have the revised version of the new game mode ready this year (2025), but fixing its design has been more challenging than anticipated. The updated Classic version is now working well, but I still need to complete the Color version and create a solid amount of new levels so the mode feels complete and properly guides players on how the new mechanics should be approached.

I don’t want to rush things. My aim is to release this major update next year, hopefully within the first quarter. My priority is ensuring that the new mode is polished, enjoyable, and worthy of your time.

Thank you all for your patience, your support, and for playing NONOTOWN. I truly appreciate every one of you. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season — Merry Christmas, happy December festivities, and see you soon with fresh updates!
