Repeated intro

Hello everyone! We have made significant progress over the course of this month.

changedMinigameThis is a sample UI of a word scramble group challenge:
changedMinigameThese ones are mockups for a social-based challenge:
addedPublishingA fairly new but promising publisher reached out to us and we had to scramble together a pitch deck and an evaluation build within 2 weeks. It didn't end up working out as they ended up deciding they only want singleplayer games for now.
addedInternal TestingWe have done several internal testing so far. The game looks really promising. One issue we have found out is that new-ish players do not actively discuss or plot to save themselves. Instead, during Eliminations they just go around the map exploring for items and activities. This seems to be because there isn't much rationale yet to determine why a specific player must be eliminated other than performance on Group Challenges. We will soon introduce more layered features in the game to give players a variety of reasons why they would prefer to keep certain players, and why they should actively plot to eliminate others. Once these are in the game, that would be a good evaluation build to start sending to publishers.

Sprites Reworked

Our artists have decided to rework our character sprites. I think they look even better now:

Minigame

We've also made some progress on several minigame challenges.

Elimination Results

We're also slowly working on animating our Elimination Results. Here's a rough draft:

Minimap

The Minimap assets are done but we have yet to implement this in game:

Publishing

A fairly new but promising publisher reached out to us and we had to scramble together a pitch deck and an evaluation build within 2 weeks. It didn't end up working out as they ended up deciding they only want singleplayer games for now.

We're not too disappointed about it as the process ended up making us pivot from wanting to self-publish to actively trying to find a good publisher that would provide us with additional funding as well. Once we have a much better evaluation build, we will start reaching out to more established publishers that have experience in releasing similar games like ours.

Internal Testing

We have done several internal testing so far. The game looks really promising. One issue we have found out is that new-ish players do not actively discuss or plot to save themselves.
