No Place Like Home changes
Today we wanted to do a short update on post-patch progress and we are extremely grateful for all your feedback.
We are very proud that we managed to roll out that update and that so many of you like new features and changes but unfortunately there were some mistakes that we have made and we need to address them now.
This is our first digital project and we have still a lot to learn but you can be sure that we want to make everything right.
Save reset
First of all we know that game reset should have been better communicated and we apologize for that. We hope to not make that mistake in future and that all the upcoming changes to game will make up for it. We will also prepare a creative mode for you that you let you catch up very quickly to where you have left last time. More on that below.
Beta testing
Secondly we should have done more beta testing of a patch and gather more feedback. We were super excited about all upcoming changes and we thought you would love them too. Unfortunately some of things did not live up to your expectations or in some cases we see that you feel that few changes have downgraded the game. We understand your point and we are already discussing possible solutions.
We have gone through all of your feedback posts and all the bug reports and I am very happy to say that we can fix vast majority of problems.
We have already started working on a lot of issues and you will get a separate update tomorrow with patch notes. For now we wanted to address all the problems asap and present you our solutions.
Main problems that we have recognized and that we plan to fix in upcoming days are:
Too expensive recipes:
We understand that the game may feel grindy now and we need to make everything cheaper. Our intent was to make trash count more and be useful in crafting but we understand that we have overdone it and it needs to be fixed. For now we will make everything very cheap again and then discuss with you how would you like to have our economy rebalanced.
Limits of farming:
We have introduced new pot plants and greenhouse that were supposed to be needed for better types of plants. We understand that it may be confusing so this limitation will be removed form the game and you will be able to plant everything anywhere you want.
Fast travel system:
We understand that you need more fast travel options and we ar working on those, more details coming soon and we will also gather more feedback on your requirements to make sure we do not overdo it.
Missing Underground:
We got a lot of feedback that the undergrounds are too confusing and too complicated so we decided to simplify them. Now a lot of people are missing the “good old” undergrounds and we feel you. Missing Cube bots
We truly did not expect so many people to miss them as they were only a placeholders in game but we are happy to say that with so many popular requests they will be returning to our game in next few weeks 😉
