What changed
No One's Hero changes
It took me a long time to get here. For years I thought about even just trying to make my first game. And now, after a year of development — fighting through daily routine, a full-time job, procrastination, and sometimes social media hate — I finally released the demo of my first game. And even got it registered for Next Fest.
Of course I'm fully aware that this is far from a AAA RPG, and it probably won't become incredibly successful or let me swap my day job for game development (which would be amazing) — but having done all the work, come up with what I think is an interesting concept with a pretty cool story, I'm proud that I've finally reached the finish line.
During development, a couple of my friends joined in and helped with art and blueprints. A big thank you to them as well.
No One's Hero is an adventure platformer set in ancient times, unfolding behind the scenes of a very famous story. The main character is an ordinary messenger with an important task — but his journey turns out to be far from simple, and even leads him into other worlds that not every mortal can even begin to comprehend...
The game demo is finally available, so I'd be grateful if you play it and share your impressions.
Thank you all, and see you at Next Fest!
