Hi everyone, January has come to an end, and with it, the first month of this busy and exciting 2026. Today, we’d like to take this opportunity to share an update on the current state of development for Nivalis. We’re hard at work polishing all the features we’ve been showing over the past months through our monthly devlogs, and the implementation of VO - which we talked about last October - is steadily moving forward. It’s been a huge task, but finally giving a voice to 135+ characters, both main and secondary, has truly added an extra layer of immersion we were aiming for. Seeing Nivalis come alive like this has been incredibly rewarding for us, and we can’t wait to share it with you. We also want to acknowledge the frustration some of you have shared about the lack of a new devlog and clearer news around the release date, and we want to address your concerns. Our intention was to share a devlog with more concrete information, which is why we decided to push it a little later than usual. We were really hoping to be able to announce the release date by now, but we ask for just a little more patience: it’s really important to us to communicate a precise date - our Nivalis Day - and to do that, we still need to put together a few final pieces of the puzzle. We know you’re just as excited as we are for this moment, and we can’t wait to celebrate it together. Game development is a long and complex journey, and we’re grateful to everyone who continues to stay with us throughout this process. We can’t wait to let you immerse yourselves in the city that has kept us busy over the past few years.
