Repeated intro
Hello, my fellow pilots! Happy new years :) This is just a quick post to let you all know that there's a fresh new build of NIGHTSTAR on the public branch right now. This update fixes some glitches, and also brings new content to the game. One of the major content-related updates this time is the Wingmen Pickup. You can have up to two wingmen, and they will increase your firepower by a lot, but keep in mind - they die in one shot. I also did lots of balancing in regards to weapon damage, enemy health, and speed. In this build, you'll also see the first "pop-up mission". This type of mission will show up randomly through the levels and will give you a score bonus if completed in time. There's only one mission of this kind available right now, as I'm still testing this feature, and if all goes well I'll add more in the next update. There's a known graphical glitch happening on this version that makes some textures flicker randomly, and that's possibly related to Steam VR's reprojection. I'm investigating this issue and fixing this is my highest priority right now, as it can get pretty bad at the most advanced levels of this game. Keep in mind that this is an Early Access game still, and I'm working hard to reach the point of releasing this game as a full-featured title soon. Other than that, I'd like to thank the community. I'm reading all the feedback you guys are giving here (and in other places around the internet), and trying my best to build a gaming experience that's challenging, fun, and satisfying for all of us.
