Nightmare House goes a long way. Let’s see…

  • 2007 Nightmare House HL2 map pack was released (just the house)

  • 2010 Nightmare House 2 was released as a full mod (including the hospital)

  • 2015 Nightmare House 2 was re-released with tweaks and updates

  • 2024 Nightmare HouseThe Original Mod was released, making the entire experience available on Steam for free
  • It’s now 2026 and we’re working on a brand new Nightmare House game.

(And in between we had released In Sound Mind 2021 and Days Without Incident 2025, among other adventures)

Upcoming Mod Update

There’s an upcoming update which will properly add controller support, as well as a few minor tweaks and more languages supported out of the box. I know we’ve been talking about it for a while, so I apologize it’s taking this long! We’re juggling a lot.

The update will also fix the missing Lost Files-files. They lived up to their name truly.
