Here comes the second major update after just one week! I truly want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the amazing support and patience you’ve shown while helping me improve Nightfall Empress. Your feedback has been incredibly valuable, and I’m really grateful for all the help in making the game better! ❤️ Quality of Life Improvements:
Added an option to set HUD transparency in the settings, making the screen much more visible during gameplay.
Awareness Orbs now have improved physics (though sadly they’ve lost the “vintage charm” of getting stuck on ceilings like an old Amiga game XD)
You can now skip the main intro (via the MENU button on Xbox controller or the Esc key on the keyboard)
IMPORTANT NOTE: Steam Overlay: on 22/05/2026 I released another update that finally enables full support for it, allowing achievements to appear on screen and screenshots to be taken properly.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed input/timing issues on very high-performance PCs.
Fixed church enemy projectiles.
Fixed Cursed Block sound effects.
Fixed running delay.
Fixed Lamia jump animation.
Fixed cemetery enemy sounds.
Fixed rotating trap.
