changedAs soon as the update is published, I will increase the price from $9.99 to $12.99. The game will consist of 20 chapters, twice as many as those released when Early Access was launched.
changedTry the demo firstIt's up to you whether you want to buy the game now while the reduced price is still in effect, or you'd rather wait until the content is complete. Whatever your choice, my suggestion is to always try the free demo before you buy, even if you played my first game, A Legionary's Life, and liked it. Although there are similarities, they are two different games and not everyone who loved a Legionary's Life will necessarily enjoy Never Second in Rome.
changedTry the demo firstI have decided to announce the price increase well in advance so that you can try the demo at a comfortable pace before making a decision.
addedFurther plansAfter next update, Never Second in Rome will not leave Early Access for a while yet. There will still be the matter of meta progression to discuss. Even though the game was not designed to include it, and I think it wouldn't be a fitting addition, I will open a new discussion on the forum as I promised long ago, to hear what people who played the game from start to finish think of it and to reach a solution.

Try the demo first

It's up to you whether you want to buy the game now while the reduced price is still in effect, or you'd rather wait until the content is complete. Whatever your choice, my suggestion is to always try the free demo before you buy, even if you played my first game, A Legionary's Life, and liked it. Although there are similarities, they are two different games and not everyone who loved a Legionary's Life will necessarily enjoy Never Second in Rome.

I have decided to announce the price increase well in advance so that you can try the demo at a comfortable pace before making a decision.

The demo saves are compatible with the full game, so you'll be able to pick up where you left off.

Further plans

After next update, Never Second in Rome will not leave Early Access for a while yet. There will still be the matter of meta progression to discuss. Even though the game was not designed to include it, and I think it wouldn't be a fitting addition, I will open a new discussion on the forum as I promised long ago, to hear what people who played the game from start to finish think of it and to reach a solution.

This, of necessity, will be possible only when the full game content is published, so I will not open the discussion until the final chapters have been released.
