fixedTo summarize the updates before this one, I've mainly been fixing tons of weird bugs, I've also addressed issues with the game's interaction with certain refresh rates, sped up the load times, and have been putting out various optimization fixes. I've also recently put out an update that allows you to swap characters with the number keys, which has been highly requested.
addedMedkitsA common complaint I've gotten is the lack of a proper heal ability, with characters only replenishing health after dying. We've now added medkits to the level that will heal whatever character you pick them up with.
changedImproved artSome environmental art has been lacking, mainly in the first stage where, outside of the restaurant, you enter a very plain, boring-looking building. We changed that building to a hotel, with the first floor being a lobby and the higher floor being a room.Steam post image

Hi everyone. This is GzLoaf, project director of NEVER SAFE IN DELAWARE.

I first wanna thank everyone who played the demo and gave their feedback. The overall positive reception has motivated us to keep working hard on the game. People have also had some problems with the demo, and we've been working on addressing them. I realize I haven't really been putting out proper patch notes, and I apologize.

This latest update is the first big one, that makes very significant changes to the game, and I'd like to go through each of them.

Medkits

A common complaint I've gotten is the lack of a proper heal ability, with characters only replenishing health after dying. We've now added medkits to the level that will heal whatever character you pick them up with.

Enemy behavior

I'm sure you've all noticed how bad the enemy behavior in the game has been, lol. They kinda just blindly fire at you even when you're behind a wall. I've now made it so enemies won't shoot at you if there's something blocking their view.

Improved art

Some environmental art has been lacking, mainly in the first stage where, outside of the restaurant, you enter a very plain, boring-looking building. We changed that building to a hotel, with the first floor being a lobby and the higher floor being a room.Steam post image

Even though it's just a visual change, it makes the level feel more like an actual place and not just... a level.

male living space

We've also fleshed out other outside areas with more background detail, mainly buildings.

This is a small taste of what we want the final game to look like. The environments should be just as fleshed out as the characters.

Thank you for playing NEVER SAFE IN DELAWARE!
