NeuroSlicers changes
First of all, the team here at Dream Harvest wish you a happy new year and we hope you had a great holiday season!
It’s been a while since we have had the time to send out an email to let you all know what we have been up to and what we have coming up in the future. A lot has been happening at the Dream Harvest Offices, or well, not the offices at the moment, but you get what we’re saying.
So to start off we should talk about what we have been doing this year and what has been keeping us so busy. Well, it’s been a lot, but to break it down we are currently working on two projects. One you all know and love, Neuro Slicers, and one that we haven’t talked about too much yet (though we do accidentally let things slip about it on our Discord every now and again: Discord.gg/NeuroSlicers ).
With the last year spent on Neuro Slicers we have had some pretty heavy overhauls to a lot of the Key system.
We have a new reworked UI.
We moved some key features about and made it far more streamlined so it is far easier to tell what is going on. A new mechanic was added to the UI as well, as well as a better way to upgrade your access node (that one is from your feedback).
There are still lots of changes and additions planned for the UI to make it as intuitive and nice to use as possible planned for future updates - so be sure to keep playing and providing feedback.
The first two missions of the game have been finished and reworked to incorporate new mechanics.
We are pretty happy with how they run now and we feel the story beats and mechanics that are taught are working well, this has all been thanks to continuous feedback from some core testers on our Discord (discord.gg/NeuroSlicers) and general feedback from the start of our current test. We plan on making a few smaller changes to these levels in the future, but for now, we are pretty happy with them.
And most importantly, we have released it for public testing.
The pre-alpha of the game is available to play from our Discord (discord.gg/NeuroSlicers), or you can head over to G.Round and you can test it on their new testing platform until the 27/01/21 (https://gameround.co/detail/109/info)
Now, as for the yet unannounced project, well, we can’t really tell you too much without spoiling it. But telling you nothing would be far too dull, so we have a few things we can share.
For a start Justin has been hammering out some awesome new tracks for this one, going back to his routes as a composer. Even Sven has chipped in as well with this awesome in progress track. Have a listen to this newsletter reader exclusive preview: https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/rT8yp
We have also gotten close to the very end of the narrative side of the new project. Just need to cross the t’s and dot the i’s and we will have all of that wrapped up and ready. We are really excited about this part and think you are going to REALLY enjoy what we have in store for you.
Now for a little bit of a spoiler we have 23 characters in the new project, all looking for voice overs to add that certain something to them, so keep an eye out for a VO casting call in
