New - Leveling & Customization
Leveling System
Added extra dopamine release with the new leveling system.
You can now level up your Model by earning stars and completing stage bonuses.
Each level grants different rewards.
In the demo, rewards are available up to Level 7. You can continue leveling beyond that, but no additional rewards are unlocked. Well… seeing a big number go even bigger is a reward in itself, right?
Extras Menu
You can now access the"Extras"menu.
Customize your experience with titles, cursors, backgrounds, and more.
Player Card
Added a Player Card displaying your name (hopefully you picked a cool one, since you can’t change it… yet), title, and interactive badge.
Yes, you can click the badge as much as you want.
Unlockables
Added new unlocks for completing specific milestones. Example: Completing Stage 10 unlocks a special Title.
Presentation Improvements
Added an intro animation at the beginning of each stage showing the artist name and the music that's being played.
Added a custom splash screen during loading.
Added a Restart button to the pause menu (Esc).
Added extra effects when earning the Overlord and D3V.BR34K3R stars.
Added a small indicator showing how many points you need for the Overlord star if you received a 5-star rating.
Stages
New
Added a new question to the Onboarding story beat after completing Stage 1.
Added a "Chat" tutorial to Stage 4.
Added extra animations for a special scene. You’ll also hear a new voice line when returning.
Fixes & Changes
Fixed an issue where Stage 10 could soft lock and require a restart. Let me know if this still happens.
Changed Stage 10 Void Orb attack color to red.
Task Adjustments
Some tasks felt slightly too long or a bit tedious/buggy. These changes aim to improve overall flow and pacing.
Parry Panel
Reduced required hits from 4 to 3.
Increased perfect timing window by 1 frame.
Button Forge
Reduced clicks per button from 4 to 2 (Total clicks reduced from 16 to 8!). Your mouse (and hand) will thank me.
Adjusted hitbox to be more generous.
Shooting Spree
Reduced required targets.
Smaller targets now complete the task faster.
Slightly reduced speed of small and medium targets.
Drag n' Drop
Adjusted completion hitbox to be more generous.
Turn It On
Adjusted hitbox to be more generous.
Clicker Continuum task name changed to "Haptic Hold"
Renamed to help beginners understand that the button should be held, not clicked 15 times.
Hammer Hold
Added a tutorial video for Hammer Hold.
Cleo the Cat / Duke the Dog / Betty the Button
Hitbox now fits the entire button.
Progress no longer resets if you move your cursor away.
Clicking the button will reset progress and trigger a wrong notification.
Smash Screen
Reduced required clicks from 7 to 4.
Pop Ping
Added extra animation and sound cue.
Secret Tasks
Added animations and sound cues for when they appear and when completed.
Options & UI
Added Master Volume.
Added a checkbox to toggle leveling animations.
Added a checkbox to toggle the music player animation.
Added translation for the"HACK THE MAINFRAME"section.
Various small fixes and translation corrections.
I'm still fixing some issues on the MacOS version, I'll try to get that online as soon as possible.
