addedHiya, we've come bearing a lot of exciting news! First off, we would like to announce that the next update is scheduled to release sometime in September of this year! This is going to be the biggest update the game has received yet, changing fundamental parts of the game and codebase while simultaneously adding new content!
changedAnother important bit of information is that we are changing the pricing previously announced in in our "An Important Update" post, and significantly lowering it from 15 USD in the USA as a base price with localized pricing to 7 USD in the USA as a base price with localized pricing. The game will not remain in early access.
addedThe new progression system will start the player off with one species, instead of letting the player pick one of the five available. Beating the game with a species you haven't beaten the game with before will unlock a new one. You will also not be able to pick a planet freely anymore unless you beat the game at least once.
addedMushroom Expedition & New Color Palette
addedAlong with the addition of the Mushroom expedition come new creatures, a new boss tied to the expedition, some important changes to lighting and a new color palette for the game. We are not ready to fully show off the new color palette, but we will show you a sneak peek.
addedA lot of other miscellaneous changes have also been added, such as the addition of a developing story, new ways to acquire Research Points, changes to the GUI, reworking of status effects to enable stacking and customizable behavior, achievements, reworks, optimizations, bugfixes and more! I can only say that the changelog will be massive!

Now that that's out of the way, let's talk more in-depth about what else the update shall bring!

Progression System

There's no progression without an endgame! Since we are swapping the game from Free-To-Play to Paid, this update will include the Final Boss. After developing your civilization enough, someone will notice your presence and attempt to destroy what you have built. Beating the final boss will count as you beating the game with the species you're playing as. Don't worry, you can still continue your save after beating him!

That's about it for this time around.

We hope you are excited as us for the upcoming update!
