Anyway, I am back and brought you some gifts!

A new device has arrived in the game. Alright, the title is entirely clickbait. This is not a Steam Deck. But you can get one free in the Safehouse-O17. It has been a while since all our special agents were struggling with supernatural monsters, unspeakable horrors, human ideological enemies, Bernie Sanders' steel chairs, and seemingly innocent old ladies you just want to rob. It's quite unrealistic to expect us to have no smart devices in the face of such horrors. We simply cannot remain so technologically backward when Elon Musk has already launched his SpaceX IPO. It has to be fixed. Thus, this new type of device is here to fill in the blank. And it's highly customizable. You can modify it just like you modify your Second Amendment-blessed rocket launchers. (Of course, some would argue the Second Amendment does not cover rocket launchers. But here is some legal advice: every person accused of any crime is considered innocent until proven guilty. If you can kill all the judges, nobody can technically find you guilty. Your rocket launchers can help you achieve this goal! But, hey! Each place has different laws, and I only have a lawyer's license in China. You may want to consult a local lawyer to verify whether this also applies in your jurisdiction. :D ) OK, let's come back to this device.

It has three slots for different modules: the software card, the battery, and the utility. You know what happens when a kid gets their hands on a phone? They look for all those little games! Thus, obviously, the first software card we got this week is a gaming card.

After inserting it into the device, you can play all those games wherever you are in the game world.

Oh, yes, the normal Go is something new this week. It's just an unskinned version of the Donbas Go. It's not that political. But, it's absolutely racist!

You literally pick a side between the white and the black and try to murder each other and control territory. For thousands of years, we Eastern Asian people have been racist like this. It's in our culture and tradition! Deal with it! :D

The Obsidian Slate Device you can find in the Safehouse is pre-inserted with the gaming card because it belongs to Zhang Yin. But, it does not seem he is going to use it anymore since he is busy with some cultists' business to force convert the entire human race into worshipping a sun god at the moment.

If you want additional Obsidian Slate Devices or some other types of software cards, you can visit GPA's store. Their faction's store has been upgraded to put all those GPA coin rewards into three different categories. Among them, there is a dedicated category just for all those Obsidian Slate Devices and their modules. (Known Bug: the leave option currently crashes the game; it will be fixed within the next 48 hours. But, since we have auto-save, it does not block any other features. Thus, it does not get the critical fix treatment when I am currently in a state of lacking caffeine) Anyway, here you can find some other modules. With this, you can now change your passport anywhere you go! To people who don't know what a passport is in the game, basically, it allows you to change your appearance. You can change your name, gender, appearance, and portrait all in one place. So, technically, you can now play Killer7 in this game here to a degree. (Killer7 is a Japanese cult classic game that allows you to change between 7 different killers' personas during a mission. It just turned 21 this week. You know I love weird games like this because I am making my own weird game. :D)

In addition to that, with this software card, you get a portable 3D printer to make weird things along the way, as long as you have materials. (Yes, quickly printing and dumping a lot of trash furniture to block enemies when they are chasing you is getting a lot easier.)

Unlike firearms, you don't need a gunsmith to switch modules. You can just click the device and modify it directly while it's running. There is no cost of changing its modules.

What else can it do? It can be a gift item! There are several gaming-addicted girls in the world; you can give them this to improve your relationship with them. Other people may not be so fond of it, but hey, it's still a gift. At least, almost nobody will just reject it, unlike when you try to send disassembled human parts to some people.

That's the "Steam Deck" part of the content. I also worked on the game's video module a bit, adding enhanced features for the upcoming end of chapter 3 content. But there is nothing significant to show you at the moment.

This is a shortened week because of all the traveling. The next week is unlikely to be so busy. So, I will likely go back to continue the main story and finally put the new video system to good use. Anyway, more death marches!
