Neolithic Dawn changes
The Moose & Fox Update has arrived! Hunt the mighty moose, tame the clever fox, and meet the new salamander across the Great Lakes.
New Animals
Moose: massive herbivore in Saugeen Bluffs, Bruce Peninsula, and Lake Manitou
Fox: quick, clever predator that's lighter to tame than larger carnivores
- Salamandernew aquatic friend, fully edible raw or cooked
New Features
Seasonal spawn multipliers: animal populations now shift with the seasons
Voice chat upgrade: longer range, louder at distance, mouth animates offline
New splash art on the title screen
Balance & Tuning
Mining sources 20% easier to break
Night lighting brightened for cave and dungeon navigation
Lake Manitou spawn rates tuned
"Environmental storytelling" loot areas added to all maps
Multiplayer & Networking Fixes
Fixed animals appearing frozen for remote players after grab or ragdoll
Fixed Photon ownership issues with moose and fox
Fixed photon server version mismatch blocking some clients
Fixed cave weather not syncing between players
Fixed seasonal and shelter disrepair states not syncing
Fixed backpack items going invisible to clients on scene switch
Fixed duplicate spawns in Lake Manitou and Tundra
Fixed client crash on new crow tame
Fixed half-joined state from server disconnect edge cases
Animals & Physics Fixes
Fixed moose and fox puppet joint, collision, and rigging artifacts
Fixed invisible animal puppets after certain state transitions
Fixed puppets blinking out when touched after second respawn
Fixed carcasses clipping through animal mesh during skinning
Fixed hit audio missing on certain stabbable surfaces
Fixed broken baby animal joint setups
Player respawn now lands on the corpse position instead of last death position
Tutorial, Saves & Generations
Fixed tutorial elements flashing in before save data finished loading
Fixed scene not switching back to Saugeen Bluffs on end of generation
Fixed generation transitions in the Bruce Peninsula forest section
Fixed survival saves not saving location properly
Added corrupt save fallback so the session no longer crashes on bad JSON
Inventory, UI & Environment
Fixed quick tool save data duplication
Fixed elder gem dialogue and backpack duplication bug
Fixed backpack text overflow and refresh issues
Fixed orbs and skill orbs getting stuck in the air
Fixed Tundra key gate wheel after multiple regressions
Rebaked occlusion in BP and SB dungeons
Fixed floating logs in Bruce Peninsula
Fixed Map Unlock Helper so Survival mode always has all maps unlocked
Performance & Stability
Rebaked occlusion in Bruce Peninsula and Saugeen Bluffs
Optimized scene terrains and PC terrain shaders
Simplified iceberg collision meshes
Fixed multiple NullReferenceExceptions in cosmetics, save loading, and backpack systems
