Hello, survivors! It's November's dev log. This patch is very important because it's the first step of ND we're going to make in the future.

New Area: Cemetery
Cemetery is an area to provide survivors with a challenging place. It is designed for players with appropriate equipment in places such as gun store or police stations in the village. And It's also the easiest place to supply and demand Deformed Brain, an ingredient for making living bone equipment.
It is divided into internal structures and external cemeteries. The external cemetery, you can find possessed zombies, carvers, and carver skeleton variants.
Inside the building, people from the government who came to investigate the precursor of the situation at the time became zombies. But not only that, but also a powerful enemy will greet you at the center of the facility.
New terrain can only spawn outside the currently saved map.
New: Carver zombie`s bone mutant, carapace zombie
The bone mutant in the middle is an enemy of the concept that has strong physical defense. Any player at the time of encountering bone mutations will have a powerful gun or proximity weapon. So I gave him a strong defense. It's a defensive variant of Carver.
In general, it may be difficult to fight with normal weapons, but ND has various damage attributes. Therefore, it is easy to deal with by using weapons of different attributes. Currently, there are only live bone weapons has arcane damage type. However, more various weapons will be added in the future.
The carapace zombie on the right was made as the boss of the cemetery. It has strong physical attack power and strong physical armor. And at some point, we will launch a stabbing attack with a fatal arcane damage.
You can get a pretty special reward from such a difficult level of carapace zombie, so I hope you find it yourself.
New mechanism: dynamic spawn, attention level
Now, when using a weapon that makes a loud noise, such as a gun, zombies are generated outside the player's field of view. These dynamic spawn come out in a preset pattern in the region. Depending on the set pattern, various enemies will come out randomly. Sometimes stronger enemies may emerge. Of course, these dynamic spawn are not produced indefinitely, so if they are generated as much as the set quantity, there will be no more dynamic spawn in the region.
Dynamic spawn will occur a lot in proportion to the attention level shown in the image above. If you keep region`s attention high, many enemies will appear faster. If you want to deal with your enemies quickly, use a loud weapon! Various enemies will be quickly created and surrounded beyond your sight.
There are still few ways to raise attention. The attention system is a system that is applied by expanding the existing noise system. So it was made based on the noise system that was temporarily applied. However, in the future, objects that create zombies or summon demons will also be added.
Damage formula changed
There was also a change in the damage formula. In the case of close attacks, the influence of stat or skill is now clearer depending on the type of weapon. Some weapons are more influenced by strength, and others are more influenced by skill. In the case of range weapons and guns, there were bullet damage, recoil adjustment, and gun range adjustment. In particular, the performance of the shotgun, which was the strongest close-range weapon, was adjusted.
Support for Steam Workshop
Finally, Steam Workshop has been prepared to create and distribute mods! As we are a team made of modders, we thought that supporting Steam Workshop was important. Our wish is finally starting.
The modding tool we made is based on the Unity editor. Using our modding tool, we can modify the damage formula, add new areas, add new enemies, and change recipes and blueprints, not just replacing images or modifying damage.
We still use JSON editor based on Unity editor, but JSON editor will be independent as a separate program in the future.
Soon, we will mod and upload how to use ND's modding tool to create mods, upload Steam Workshop, and apply them again.
