Those images you see on your screen right now will help us set the right tone and create the appropriate atmosphere for the game - we base our further decisions on the creation of similar artworks that is why they are extremely important for us and we often spend more than few days on revisions and improvements.

The colour of the water, not fighting for the attention but simply signalizing the natural flow of the waters symbolizes the harmony and order. Hello Builders!

Life in the Empire can be quite colourful!

Last time we had fun sharing some screenshots from the game with you - keep in mind that those were the still work-in-progress kind of designs - and this month we would love to showcase some of the concept arts that we are working on! Those images you see on your screen right now will help us set the right tone and create the appropriate atmosphere for the game - we base our further decisions on the creation of similar artworks that is why they are extremely important for us and we often spend more than few days on revisions and improvements.

The images look pretty - and they really are - but they're not just for admiring purposes but also for making sure that we have it all under control and we all know in which artistic direction we are heading.

On those two screenshots you can see different places. The first one showcases the peasant district in a city. As you might imagine it's full of bustle and colours giving it the vibe of being alive and energetic. That is correct for the place and as we imagine it - who knows how many different discussions and chats have happened here?

The second artwork showcases fishing district - while still being architecturally speaking busy it is quite more peaceful and deliberate in its reception. The colour of the water, not fighting for the attention but simply signalizing the natural flow of the waters symbolizes the harmony and order. As fisherman gather here to start their day and commence their work they will definitely enjoy the area in which their endeavours take place...

Thank you for checking in with us - make sure to wishlist the game and see you in the next devlog!

Best regards, Builders of China Team
