As you might now - today we're celebrating New Lunar Year!

We hope that for everyone this new lunar year will be full of great moments, spectacular experiences and meaningful opportunities.

Lunar New Year is a festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. It is not uncommon to hear it being called Spring Festival!

As you might already new there is always a particular animal assigned to each year and this year will be the Year of the Ox!

This particular holiday is one of the most important holidays in China but it is also celebrated worldwide in regions with a significant presence of Chinese population. Traditionally the festival was a time to honour deities as we as ancestors however the particular customs in China differ depending on the area of the country. However some of the things that are most widely popular are:

1). Clean your house with your whole family - sweep away bad and invite good fortune 2). Decorate windows and doors with red paper-cuts and couplets. 3). It's popular to have fun with firecrackers 4). Giving money in red envelopes is a traditional thing to do on that holiday

Remember - red items are considered lucky - so make sure to have something red close to you on this day!
