New Features

  • Steam Cloud Saves are now enabled for the demo! Your progress will sync across devices automatically.

World & Encounter Changes

  • Creatures now display a power descriptor upon initial encounter based on level difference:

    • +5 levels: "a strong (creature)"

    • +10 levels: "a powerful (creature)"

    • +20 levels: "a very powerful (creature)"

  • Certain areas can no longer be discovered via signposts; you’ll need to find them the old-fashioned way.

Gameplay & UX Enhancements

  • If you finish a quest while in a city, you’ll no longer need to travel again to access city options; they now appear immediately after the quest ends.

  • During encounters, if a stat check is required for a choice, the relevant stat is now highlighted in your attributes or skills panel when hovering over that option button.

Inventory & Item Info Improvements

  • Armor and clothing now display additional information in your inventory:

    • Armor Type (e.g. Type: Heavy Armor, Type: Clothing)

  • Weapons now display additional information in your inventory:

    • Weapon Style (e.g. Weapon Style: One Handed)

    • Damage Type(s) (e.g. Damage Type: Bash, Damage Types: Stab, Slash)

  • Jewelry that grants traits now displays the stat modifiers included with those traits.

    • Example: +Bookworm Trait (+1 Int, -1 Str)

  • These changes will only impact new items added to the inventory, this update will not affect items already in your character's inventory

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where accepting any job on a job board always assigned the first job on the board, regardless of which one was selected.

  • Fixed a bug where some inventory items were unclickable due to UI overlap with the “Disabled Compendium” button.

  • Patched an exploit where players could gain infinite XP by repeatedly bartering at city shops. You now must leave and re-enter the shop to attempt bartering again, making the exploit much slower and less viable.
